My apps are not being blocked or permissions are turned off
Tap Out needs multiple system permissions to reliably block distracting apps and websites. In recent years however, Android phone brands have started to aggressively terminate background-apps and permissions unnecessarily, including Tap Out, which does not impact battery life noticeably. When accessibility permissions are revoked or the app is killed in the background, Tap Out does not work anymore. Here's known ways how to fix it.
How to enable Accessibility Service
Open Settings
Search “Accessibility”
Tap Accessibility → Installed services (or “Downloaded apps”, "Installed Apps", or similar)
Choose Tap Out
Turn on the Accessibility service and confirm the system prompt.

Settings → Device Care → Battery → Power mode and select High Performance (or Optimized Performance).

Settings → Apps → Tap Out → App info. Disable Put unused apps to sleep and Auto-disable unused apps.
Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO:
Settings → Battery → App battery saver → Tap Out → No restrictions
Settings → Apps → Tap Out → App Info → Unused app settings. Ensure 'pause app if unused' and/or 'remove permission if app isn't used' are turned OFF
OnePlus/Oppo/Realme:
