What permissions does Tap Out need and why?

In order to use Tap Out successfully on your Android device, you'll need to grant the following permissions.

  1. Accessibility Service: Tap Out needs accessibility service access to monitor and block distracting apps.

  2. Alarms & Reminders: Tap Out utilizes the alarm functionality to activate Tap Out again after your break ends, ensuring it occurs at the right time.

  3. Display Overlay: Tap Out needs overlay permission to display blocking screens over other apps when they're restricted.

  4. Notification Access: Tap Out needs notification access to monitor and manage notifications during blocking sessions. 

  5. Post Notifications: Tap Out needs notification permission to send you important updates about your blocking sessions.
